I practiced in the area of gaming law from 1980 until my retirement in 2023. I was a partner at the law firm of Fox Rothschild, LLP from 2004 until 2023, serving as chair of its gaming law department from 2004 until 2021. I have practiced all aspects of gaming law, including licensing, acquisitions, compliance plans and investigations, and financing. My experience includes handling gaming matters in numerous domestic and international jurisdictions, including Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Australia, Great Britain, Jamaica and Singapore.
I have been named annually as one of the leading gaming attorneys in the world by Chambers Global Guide (Band 1) from 2008 through 2023 and Chambers US (Star Individual) from 2013 through 2023.
In 2021, I received the NJBiz Icon Award, was named a New Jersey Trailblazer by the New Jersey Law Journal in 2019, named a Dealmaker of the Year – Regulatory by the New Jersey Law Journal in 2019 and selected to the Law360 MVP List for Gaming in 2018.
I serve on the Board of Directors of the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority of the U.A.E., the Compliance Committee of Interblock, and on the advisory council of the Seton Hall University School of Law Gaming, Hospitality, Entertainment and Sports Initiative.
