Greg Giordano is a Partner and Vice Chairman of the Gaming Practice Group of the law firm of McDonald Carano Wilson LLP in Las Vegas, NV. Prior to joining McDonald Carano Wilson, Mr. Giordano was a partner with Lewis and Roca for almost six years, a partner with Snell & Wilmer for over three years, and a shareholder in the Gaming and Regulatory Law Department of Lionel Sawyer & Collins for almost 13 years. Prior to joining Lionel Sawyer & Collins, Mr. Giordano served for 4 years as the first Chief of the Corporate Securities Division of the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Prior to his employment with the Nevada Gaming Control Board, Mr. Giordano served as a Deputy Attorney General with the Nevada Attorney General's Office for a little more than 5 years, with the last 1 ½ years thereof in the Gaming Division, providing legal advice to the Nevada Gaming Commission and the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Prior to his employment with the Nevada Attorney General's Office, Mr. Giordano served for 1 year as the Deputy District Attorney for Churchill County, Nevada, and prior to that, he was in private practice in Reno, Nevada, for more than 1 ½ years. Mr. Giordano graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration/Accounting and History from the College of Notre Dame (now known as Notre Dame de Namur University) in Belmont, California, In 1978. He obtained his Juris Doctor law degree from the Santa Clara University School of Law in 1981. He is a member of the State Bars of Nevada and California, a member and former Trustee of the International Association of Gaming Advisors, and a member of the International Masters of Gaming Law. Mr. Giordano is also currently the Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Gaming Law Section of the Nevada State Bar, a member of the UNLV Boyd School of Law Gaming Law Advisory Board. In addition, he is currently the Co-Chairman of the ABA General Practice, Solo & Small Firm Division’s Gaming Law Committee and is the Vice Chair of the ABA’s Business Law Section’s Gaming Law Committee. Mr. Giordano is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, named in The Best Lawyers in America®, Gaming Law, 2005-2020 editions, Chambers USA - America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, Gaming & Licensing, 2005-2020 editions, and Mountain States Super Lawyers - Gaming, 2007-2020. Mr. Giordano has lectured on various aspects of Nevada gaming law for the UNLV International Gaming Institute and other similar organizations. He resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.
