Dean Luthey is a Senior Partner in the Oklahoma law firm GableGotwals. He leads the firm's gaming and Indian law practices, representing gaming manufacturers, Indian tribes regulators, and other governments. Luthey has argued on behalf of gaming tribes before the U.S. Supreme Court and represented tribes and their partners in federal court cases that expanded the limits of Class II gaming. He has served for several years as the General Counsel of the Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association, leading its legal effort in blocking federal agency rulemaking that would have drastically limited Class II gaming. Luthey's practice also includes a civil commercial litigation component in federal and state courts throughout the United States involving securities, antitrust, energy and public law matters. He served for many years as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Tulsa and was a Presiding Judge of a temporary division of the Oklahoma Court of Appeals.
