From predictive targeting and dynamic pricing to automated risk monitoring, AI now shapes core gaming decisions. The EU AI Act is moving towards full implementation, while the Malta Gaming Authority has launched a Voluntary AI Governance Framework to promote responsible, forward looking practice. Will we see mandatory transparency, limits on behavioural modelling or licensing of AI systems? AI strengthens AML, efficiency and harm detection, yet raises concerns around bias, opacity and manipulation. How far should regulators go without stifling innovation?
