Kevin J. Weber has advised a wide variety of client on issues relating to land-based gaming, online gaming and sweepstakes since 1999. Recognized by his peers for inclusion in 'Best Lawyers in Canada' in the specialty of Gaming Law, Mr. Weber provides guidance to the online gaming industry on lawful activities in Canada, and to the advertising industry on promotional sweepstakes requirements. His clients include governments, regulators, advertisers, online gaming enterprises, gaming equipment suppliers, casinos and software manufacturers. He advises gaming licensees on compliance and policy issues throughout North America, and on the impact of the gaming provisions of the Criminal Code. Mr. Weber has authored numerous articles on gaming law and anti-money laundering laws relating to the gaming industry which have been published in leading international and national publications, and has delivered papers at gaming law conferences throughout the world. He prepares compliance programs to ensure clients' adherence to gaming regulations; negotiates advertising agreements for gaming websites; advises on Native gaming in Canada; and represents clients' interests before governments. Mr. Weber also maintains an active presence in the courts of Ontario, acting as counsel for the Public Accountants Council of Ontario and the Law Society of Upper Canada.
